Beatrice Owens is a NYC-based actor, playwright, and bagel enthusiast.

Beatrice Owens (she/her) is a New York based actor, singer, playwright, and theatre educator. A New York transplant from the Washington, DC area by way of Glasgow, Scotland. Beatrice has her BA in Theatre Performance from James Madison University (Go Dukes!) and her MA in Musical Theatre Performance from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland.

Most recently, Beatrice made her Paper Mill Playhouse debut in Fiddler on the Roof (Ensemble/Tzeitel US). She has performed regionally at Keegan Theatre (Kelli, Hands on a Hardbody) and Imagination Stage (Maid Marian/Much US, Robin Hood).

In April 2023, her one-act boat play [working title] was produced as part of We Are Actors’ A Night of One-Acts. Prior to that, her full-length play Whale Fall was selected as part of the New York City Artist Corps Program, culminating in a public workshop reading.

You are most likely to run into Beatrice browsing the aisles of a bookstore (book culture on the UWS), drinking copious amounts of diner coffee, or snuggled on the couch with her sweet calico kitten, Miriam.
